Rekindling – Keep Learning #WinterABC23

This isn’t coming easy to me. People often tell me I am good at giving counsel and motivation, but that is usually something I am told after just sharing my thoughts with someone who was hurting or complaining. Right now, I do not know what to share just off the bat as something to fire you up, to inspire, or to move you… but there is a lesson I am witnessing currently that I think is a good direction to share some of who I am with you, attributed to how I process the lessons I learn.

Paddling

it’s easy to sit on a boat that’s moving upstream on calm waters
but the paddling takes a little bit of work
getting on the other side from who I was and who I now am

I look you in the eye and I see the same soul I saw in another past lover, and the one before her
it doesn’t feel good, not one bit, to realise the problem is me
